Besides gambling, you can soon also buy and sell things with gems you can earn through simply talking, or through other funny stuff. And there's a special shop coming too...

Profiles, Passports, Permanent Achievements
Leveling is no fun if there's nothing to gain, so Orb will soon have achievements to collect in the form of stamps that you can add to your personal, soon-to-be-added passport. Your passport is customizeable and if you allow, Orb will auto-introduce you to a new server if you have it filled out!

Better Leveling Progression
To make the leveling system more interactive, you can eventually select a class and skills in a skill tree that modify how you get XP based on how you use Discord. Are you more of a quick talker, or a lurker, or a voice user? Skills you pick account for this, and maybe you can gain an edge over others. And it brings gems too!

Discord Login and a web dashboard
Managing bots through Discord gets tedious if you cannot remember the commands, so in the long run, I plan on adding a web dashboard on this site here.
About Orb
Orb began as a small leveling bot that I built during the horrors of the pandemic, and over time it grew into my favorite project that I kept revisiting.
First and most importantly: Orb is open source under the AGPL v3, free for everyone to use and contribute to. Orb will forever remain open and freely accessible, unlike some commercial bots that lock features behind paywalls. I want to build this bot for the community because I too am part of that community.
Like I said, Orb began during the pandemic, and it has evolved so much! With features like leveling, server protection, economy, and fun commands, I think Orb can be a true alternative to the big bots. And with all the plans I have for the future (check the roadmap!), it will only get better.
